Our Infant program offers care for infants from newborn -12 months old. The infants are cared for with love and compassion as we provide tummy time, singing songs, and developmetnal learning.

Toddler Program

Our Montessori school isn't just a daycare center. We provide

a well-rounded education for your child with a pre-set, structured curriculum, and working with them on coordination of small and large motor skills.

Preschool/Kinder-Readiness

Our preschool teaches the lessons that set our students up for long-term academic success, building skills and self-esteem. Our curriculum covers a little bit of everything, from math and literacy to science and history.

Medical Center Afterschool Care

Sunshine Medical Center offers afterschool pick-up program, and NISD Transporation drop-off. In our afterschool program, we offer children snack, and help with homework, and relaxing time for children.

Medical Center Summer Camp

Sunshine Medical Center offers a great and over the top summer camp. SMA offers breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack to children enrolled, in house field trips, and outside field trips, and many more fun activities.

Bandera Center Afterschool Care

Bandera location does not offer transportation for children. We will accept children that get dropped off by NISD transportation. In our afterschool program we offer a snack, help with homework, and relaxing time for children.

Helotes center Summer Camp

Bandera location offers a fun field summer camp. We offer children breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. Children will indulge in many activities such as water play, crafts, and in house field trips.

Sunshine Montessori Academy is a locally-owned child care center proudly serving San Antonio from 2 great locations. We take a whole-child approach with each of our students, aiming to meet the intellectual, social, behavioral, and emotional needs of each of our students as individuals. We follow a curriculum which incorporates social, science, sensory and practical life activities.

We are proud to announce that both our Sunshine locations are Texas Rising Star Certified!

Thanks to the hard work of our Management and Staff, as well as the guidance from our TRS Mentors, we were able to achieve accreditation to provide better care for both our children and their families. In order for our centers to become accredited, we were evaluated in the following categories;

Upcoming Events:

We are excited that fall is here! This season our children at SMA will be visiting our local pumpkin patches, trick or treating at our local nursing homes, and learning about seasons and how they change.

Food Program:

In accordance to Advance Inc, we offer healthy meals which include whole grains, fruits, vegetables and milk. Our infant program will offer infant formula, fruits, vegetables and cereal. All classes will enjoy breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.

Get Involved:

Home and school connection is very important to us here at Sunshine and we have incorporated a variety of fun activities throughout the year for families to enjoy. A few of our fun filled events include; Crafting With Grandparents, Pie with Parents, Christmas Caroling at Nursing Homes, and Kinder Readiness Graduation.

Childcare Subsidy & Discount

All of our locations are accepting the City of San Antonio childcare subsidy program CCS , VA childcare subsidy program, Alamo Colleges Ready to Work Program, and United Way Scholarship Program. We also offer a discount for our Military families, USAA employees, as well as a siblings discount.

Facility Cleanliness

At Sunshine Montessori, we partner with Dis-In-Fx to help ensure your child's environment is not only clean, but healthy as well. In our everyday cleaning and sanitizing procedures, we follow TX childcare minimum standards 4 step cleaning process , which includes using a hospital grade sanitizer supplied to us by Dis-In-Fx. Additionally once a month a sanitation solution is sprayed throughout the facility, which is guaranteed to kill germs for up to 90 days.
